God! I love this piece. Brilliantly written and dare I say "courageous?" This is especially true in this time and place where actual opions that aren't knee jerk are just automatically considered wrong. My friends and I were discussing this same topic last night. It's great for a comic to be political--we NEED that--especially now. But it's not OK for anyone of influence to a deliver a hate-filled rant to a giant audience. This can have serious consequences in this case, to trans women. I personally always loved Chappelle, but lately I feel like I'm being lectured to by a mean school teacher.
